Our College

               Sree Sai Dental and Oral Cancer Research Institute was established in the year 2002 with an intake capacity of 100 students and has successfully admitted 5 batches of students since then. The first batch of students will be coming out shortly from our prestigious college with much practical experience along with their B.D.S. Degree.

Location

               The college buildings are constructed on N.H. – 5 Road, just 3 Km from Srikakulam town and 8 Km from Railway Station. Frequent transport facilities are available at the college along with the college's own buses. The buildings are in a pleasant and unpolluted area with spacious grounds and good ventilation.

               Srikakulam district is a backward district with Fishermen and Girijan communities who are accustomed to reverse smoking of. tobacco (cigar), especially in. ladies, which is a unique feature in India. Chewing of tobacco, pan masala and various types of tobacco are habits of the people living in Orissa state border adjacent to Srikakulam. On account of these bad habits there are plenty of dental patients and number of Dental Cancer patients in the surrounding areas of Srikakulam coming daily to the Dental Hospital in Srikakulam, Hence, availability of patients is a major advantage for students to learn, study ,examine & treat.Most of the colleges in big cities have limited number of patients,to provide practical knowledge to students. Withaout practical knowledge no student can become a clinically well experienced dentist, which is needed for private practice.
